A24 released the comedy-drama Club Kid in select U.S. theaters on Nov. 6, 2026. The film, which marks the feature directorial debut of Jordan Firstman, follows a New York City club promoter whose life changes after he discovers he has a 10-year-old son.
Firstman wrote, directed, and stars in the film as the character Peter Green. The role of his son, Arlo, is played by 14-year-old actor Reggie Absolom. The supporting cast includes Cara Delevingne, Diego Calva, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Colleen Camp, Vicki Pepperdine, Eldar Isgandarov, Miss Benny, Alaska Riley, Nigil Whyte, and Saturn Risin9.
The production was a breakout title at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Un Certain Regard award and a seven-minute standing ovation. It was also featured at film festivals in Toronto and New York. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 6 minutes and is rated R.
Firstman stated that the film was inspired by his own experiences in the Berlin club scene and a desire to explore a delayed coming-of-age story for a gay man in his 30s. Regarding the dynamic between the main characters, Firstman said he believes Arlo teaches Peter to grow up, while Peter teaches Arlo to be a kid.
Following the initial limited theatrical release, the film is scheduled for a nationwide rollout.
