Actress Busy Philipps recently shared details regarding her health journey during an appearance on the NPR podcast Wild Card. In a conversation with host Rachel Martin, Philipps discussed the experience of balancing a medical crisis with the production of her new CBS drama, Cupertino.
Philipps recalled that the diagnosis arrived on the same day she learned she had secured her role in the CBS series.
According to the actress, she does not require chemotherapy or radiation and is currently being monitored through regular medical scans.
Reflecting on the timing of the diagnosis, Philipps noted the difficulty of reconciling her professional commitments with her health. She recounted a conversation with her physician, Dr. Davinski, who informed her that the tumor required immediate removal, to which she jokingly responded that she was starting a new television show.
Cupertino premiered on CBS on Oct. 8, 2026. Beyond her health, the interview also covered personal topics, including the actress's evolving views on intimacy and pleasure.
