Tiger Woods and his design firm, TGR Design, announced a partnership with The Armchair Collective on Nov. 2, 2026, to develop a new private 18-hole golf course in the Village of Brookville. The project involves the renovation of the former Tam O’Shanter Country Club, a site that has remained closed since 2021.

The planned development on Long Island’s Gold Coast will feature a clubhouse, member cottages, and a 20,000-square-foot putting green. The Armchair Collective, which operates a national club model, intends to link the new course with other architecturally significant destinations.

This venture represents the third project of its kind for Woods, who previously collaborated on two private golf course communities in Texas, known as Bluejack National and Bluejack Ranch. The location is situated near Bethpage Black, where Woods secured a victory at the 2002 U.S. Open.

Regarding the project, Woods stated that the opportunity to contribute to the region's golf architecture tradition is exciting for his team. Further details concerning the development are expected to be released in 2027.
