Stephanie Mehta, CEO and chief content officer of Mansueto Ventures, recently interviewed T-Mobile CEO Srini Gopalan for the Modern CEO newsletter. The conversation explored how the telecommunications provider balances a customer-focused strategy with an irreverent corporate identity.
Gopalan described the company's approach as customer obsession done with a twinkle in your eye. This philosophy stems from T-Mobile's history as a market challenger, a brand positioning that began with its un-carrier marketing strategy in 2013 and continued following the 2020 merger with Sprint.
Financial data released by the company shows a strong performance leading into late 2026. T-Mobile reported total revenue of $88.3 billion in 2025, representing an 8.5% annual increase. By the end of that year, the firm served 142.4 million customers across its various service offerings.
The company currently holds a market capitalization of approximately $167 billion. This valuation places T-Mobile between its primary competitors, trailing Verizon at $186 billion while leading AT&T at $144 billion.
Looking toward the future, T-Mobile projects the addition of roughly 1.0 million postpaid accounts throughout 2026. This outlook follows the company's third-quarter earnings report, which was released in late October 2026.
