Offerpad is tightening its criteria for purchasing residential properties as the company navigates a shifting market environment. The firm has become more selective in its acquisitions as it faces challenges related to the time required to complete transactions.

During the third quarter of 2026, the company recorded 324 home transactions. While this figure represents activity for the period, it reflects a 32% decline compared to the same quarter in 2025.

The reduction in transaction volume is attributed to lengthening sales cycles. As properties remain on the market for longer periods, the company has adjusted its operational approach to manage its inventory and acquisition pace.
