Four of the largest residential real estate brokerages in the United States announced on Nov. 3, 2026, the creation of a new, shared database for property listings. The coalition aims to increase transparency by utilizing an application programming interface to distribute listing information across the industry.

The participating firms include AGNT, HomeServices of America, Keller Williams, and Real REMAX Group. By pooling their resources into an open, shared network, the brokerages intend to shift the current balance of power regarding real estate data access.

The initiative is designed to counter the rise of private listings, which have become a point of contention within the industry. The coalition specifically seeks to challenge the control over information currently held by competitors, including Compass.

While the brokerages have confirmed the launch of this collaborative effort, specific technical details regarding the API and the total number of listings to be included in the database have not been confirmed.
