A guide published by Hyperallergic on Nov. 2, 2026, highlights 10 art exhibitions currently on display across Upstate New York. Authored by Taliesin Thomas, the list features a diverse range of artistic mediums and venues throughout the region.

Among the featured exhibitions, Tyte Gallery is showcasing botanical works on paper by Julia Whitney Barnes. Meanwhile, Gallery 40 is presenting a collection of mystical, geometrically inspired paintings by artist Emily Nomer.

The regional art scene also includes sculptural works by Judy Pfaff and Michael David, which are currently on view at the Public Private Gallery. Additionally, the Ann Street Gallery is highlighting the work of three artists selected for its 2026 Emerging Artist Fellowship.

Other notable presentations include a group show at the Yellow Studio Arts Center that focuses on the commonplace as a source of inspiration. In Hudson, the Ipso Facto Gallery is hosting an exhibition where artists examine creative modalities for navigating the technological challenges of contemporary life.

The selection serves as part of a recurring monthly series aimed at providing recommendations for visitors and residents interested in the regional art landscape during the autumn season.
