Meta has launched a new feature called Spaces for its Muse AI agent, allowing users to create persistent, personalized environments for specific tasks. By describing a project, such as a wedding planner or a gift tracker, to the AI, users can generate a dedicated workspace that organizes information and updates automatically.
The feature integrates with third-party applications to track real-time data, including price changes or project progress, without requiring manual input from the user. These spaces are accessible through the app's sidebar or main tabs. Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated the tool's functionality on social media, noting that the agent builds the workspace based on user descriptions.
This update follows the Nov. 5, 2026, release of Muse Voice, which added video chat and spoken command capabilities to the platform. The expansion into persistent workspaces marks a shift for the Muse agent from a standard chatbot to a tool designed for goal-oriented project management.
The Spaces feature is available immediately across all regions where Muse is offered. Meta reported during its October 2026 earnings call that the Muse agent reached 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada within two months of its initial launch. The company is currently exploring options to allow users to share these spaces for collaborative projects, though no timeline for that functionality has been announced.
