Google has launched its experimental AI application, Dreambeans, in India, marking the first international expansion for the tool since its debut in the United States earlier this year. The app, which creates personalized daily stories based on user activity, is now available to users aged 18 and older on Android and iOS platforms.

Developed by Google Labs, the software generates illustrated narratives by pulling data from connected services, including Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Search, YouTube, and Gemini. The system functions without requiring manual prompts from the user, relying instead on what the company describes as personal intelligence.

To support the Indian market, Google has added support for 13 regional languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, and Nepali. While the app currently supports these languages alongside English, it does not yet allow for mixed-language styles, such as Hinglish.

Google Product Manager Gozde Oznur stated that India was selected for this expansion due to strong user interest and significant overlap across the company's existing services. The app was originally introduced in the U.S. on June 3, 2026, for Google AI Ultra subscribers, followed by a broader release in September.

Privacy features allow users to manually connect or disconnect their services and delete data at any time. According to the company, all generated stories remain private and are visible only to the account holder. Sensor Tower data indicates that the app saw approximately 55,000 downloads in the U.S. following its June launch, though download rates experienced a decline in October 2026.
