Brittany Snow reflects on father's Alzheimer's diagnosis

Actor Brittany Snow recently discussed how her father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis has transformed their relationship and altered her perspective on loss. Speaking on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, released on Nov. 2, 2026, Snow explained that the progression of the disease has allowed her to process the situation over time.
Her father was diagnosed with the condition in 2020. Snow noted that while his health has reached a stage she describes as quite extreme, the years following the diagnosis provided a unique opportunity to remain present. She stated that she does not take those years for granted, noting that the time allowed her to make sense of the loss gradually rather than experiencing it all at once.
Regarding the current state of their bond, Snow emphasized that the nature of their connection has shifted. She remarked that while they remain close, the relationship has taken on a different shape due to the illness.
