Amazon has established a new Personal Robotics Group and is actively recruiting for a new-to-world robot product, according to an analysis of company job postings published on Nov. 8, 2026.

The initiative follows the limited market performance of the company's previous home robot, Astro. Introduced in 2021 as an invite-only product, the $1,450 device reached a limited number of customers. A subsequent version designed for business use was launched in 2023 but was discontinued in less than a year.

The new team is reportedly integrating talent from the original Astro project with the team from the Fauna acquisition.

While the project is currently in the development phase, Amazon has not yet disclosed specific details regarding the new robot's design, capabilities, pricing, or potential release date.
