A former U.S. Military Academy cadet is facing a civil lawsuit after admitting to secretly administering abortion medication to his pregnant girlfriend in 2022. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, filed the action in New York Supreme Court on Oct. 28, 2026, seeking damages for the incident.

According to court documents, the defendant, Caleb T. Suh, provided his then-girlfriend with a drink containing Xanax on Feb. 4, 2022, to sedate her. He then administered abortion pills without her knowledge or consent. The victim subsequently became severely ill, required hospitalization, and suffered a miscarriage.

Suh pleaded guilty in federal court on June 30, 2026, to a charge of assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner. During the proceedings, he admitted to using the sedative to facilitate the administration of the medication, which he had obtained through an online pharmacy account created using the victim's identification.

The complaint states that the two were fellow cadets at West Point when the victim became pregnant in January 2022. While the victim intended to continue the pregnancy, Suh allegedly pressured her to have an abortion. Following the incident, Suh continued his studies at Cornell University and Columbia University.

Suh has reportedly requested that his criminal sentencing be postponed to allow him to complete a semester at Columbia University. The civil lawsuit remains ongoing.
