Apple has updated its support documentation to remove the requirement for users to join a virtual queue when enabling Siri AI. Eligible users who opt in through their device settings will now see the feature begin to download automatically.

The company clarified that the waitlist has not been entirely eliminated. Instead, it will be utilized only during periods of high demand, when server capacity may require users to wait before accessing the feature.

Siri AI was first introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2026 and launched in September 2026 as part of iOS 27. Since its release, users were required to join a queue to manage server load, with wait times previously ranging from a few hours to several days.

During an earnings call on Nov. 2, 2026, Apple CEO John Ternus described the feature as being built on a modern, orchestrator-driven architecture. He noted that the system is currently request-based but designed to allow for future expansion of its capabilities.

The feature remains in beta and is available on Apple Intelligence-capable devices, including specific iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro models.
