Third-party AI agents played a negligible role in booking services on the Uber platform during the third quarter of 2026, according to company executives. During an earnings call on Nov. 4, 2026, leadership disclosed that only four rides were arranged through these automated systems throughout the entire quarter.

These figures represent a small fraction of the company's total activity, as Uber handled roughly 320 million rides and food deliveries during the same three-month period.

Uber Chief Financial Officer Balaji Krishnamurthy addressed the data during the conference call, noting that the company has seen very limited traction regarding AI agent integration. He described the current state of the technology as being in its very early stages.

Despite the low usage numbers, Uber executives indicated that the firm intends to continue building relationships with various AI companies. The company is framing the integration of AI agents as a long-term initiative rather than a source of immediate revenue, as the technology continues to face technical hurdles related to authentication, payment coordination, and user preferences.
