Fintech company Block, led by CEO Jack Dorsey, began a new round of job cuts on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026. The reductions follow a significant workforce downsizing earlier this year and impact specific operational divisions within the firm.

The layoffs affect employees working in Customer Ops, Risk Ops, and Learning & Content Operations. According to company information, the restructuring involves reducing the total number of roles, adjusting staff responsibilities, and modifying internal reporting lines. While some employees are being laid off, others are participating in a consultation process.

The company has not disclosed the total number of employees affected by this latest action. These cuts occur months after a major reduction in February 2026, when Block eliminated more than 4,000 jobs, representing approximately 40% of its workforce at that time.

Block has declined to provide further comment regarding the current round of layoffs.
